Editorial policy
How every recipe on this site is developed, checked, sourced and corrected.
How a recipe is developed
Each recipe starts from established technique for the dish, then gets written to one standard: exact US and metric quantities, exact times and temperatures, and a visual cue for every step, because ovens and pans vary. Each page explains why the key steps matter, answers the questions cooks ask most, and lists storage and make-ahead notes.
Review and testing
Recipes are written from established technique and checked against the food safety sources below. When a recipe has been cooked start to finish in our test kitchen, its page shows a 'Tested in our kitchen' date.
Food safety
Safe internal temperatures, egg handling and storage times on this site follow U.S. government guidance, and each recipe links to the source it relies on in a Sources box. Our main references:
- USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service: Safe Minimum Internal Temperature Chart
- USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service: Leftovers and Food Safety
- USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service: Shell Eggs from Farm to Table

Recipes that use raw or lightly cooked eggs, or undercooked seafood, say so and point people at higher risk to the FDA's guidance.
Corrections
If you find an error, tell us. We check the report, fix confirmed mistakes, and update the date shown on the page.
Cookware and commercial context
This site's cookware content promotes Kaizen titanium cookware. Product construction and care details are attributed to the manufacturer. We distinguish those specifications from independent testing and only claim hands-on recipe or product testing when a recorded test supports it.
Tools we use
We use software, including AI tools, to help draft, organize and illustrate recipes. Generated cookware scenes use supplied real-life Kaizen product photographs as visual references. These styled illustrations show serving and preparation ideas; they are not photographs of a documented recipe test. A person is responsible for every page that's published.
